Well folks, your intrepid audiophile, Reverend X-ister has dug up some fun for you this episode! As you may well know, it's now the second generation of the web; the entry of video into the mix. Video podcasts, movies, TV shows, commercials, music videos and home movies have all migrated to the public forum and are up for inspection, reflection and introspection...
First off, before we get to the serious stuff though, our pal Dubya chimes in with a short "State of the Season" address, and directly after, we'll take a sonic journey with a couple of the stars of the second generation web, "Diggnation" and "Tiki Bar TV". If you haven't heard of these shows yet, consider this a primer- if you have, than sit back and enjoy some fun from many of their past shows, and the many references they make to other sites and shows. For if the web is ANYthing, it's referential...
After that- a segment called: "Why do you tube?" This is audio culled from youTubers themselves, reflecting on why they feel the need to put themselves out there. The audio you hear from the youTubers is largely unedited, as I felt that they did a good job of telling the youTube story themselves.
Let this be a message to the powers that be; we are tired of being spoon fed our information and content, so we shall make our own...
